First and foremost we need patriotism to let those in public offices know that we do care about the welfare of our country. Second we need leadership, the kind that puts America ahead of any party or organization. Third we need to shed our party lines and put the welfare of the people of this country out in front of everything else. Now let us go back over those three things and talk about each one. Patriotism is the juice that makes our hearts swell with pride just to be able to tell others that we are Americans and darn proud of it. There never was another nation like ours and there probably never will be another America. There is no such thing as freedom unless we are willing to stand and fight to get it and then keep fighting to keep it. There is always a price to be paid. Are you willing to pay the price of freedom?
Now we take on the subject of leadership and that is the one thing that is lacking in all aspects of our government today. Our president is a “Chicago style politician” and he will use any and all tricks and back room deals to get what he wants. Is this the kind of leadership that America needs? I don’t think so.
