This is just a reminder, for all voters to remember the blurry pictures of your favorite Congressional Democrat running out of the House of Representatives recently, once again not allowing a vote on offshore drilling. Our supposedly “most ethical congress in history”, with their staggering 9% approval rating, would rather get an early start for their weekend in the Hamptons, instead of doing the job that Americans voted them to do in 2006.
I give the House Republicans the “Thumbs Up approval” for staying on the behalf of taxpayers to push energy proposals forward. Even after the Nancy & the Democrats shut off the lights, microphones and cameras on the Republicans, before “Getting out of Dodge”. What’s wrong Nancy, are you not confident enough in your position to put it to a vote or haven’t you seen the polls showing that 75% of Americans are for increasing oil in the U.S. immediately?
House Democrats would rather let Americans continue to suffer, rather than hurt the chances of the “anointed one” Jimmy Obama. They know that a “yes” vote on drilling in the Senate would hurt his chances this November. There’s a better chance that he will cast his usual “non vote” and will spend the rest of the day working on his outside shot anyway. The Democrats know that if they keep prices high come this November that the “angry American voter” will take it out on the Republicans in the election. But I believe this theory will backfire as ordinary Americans become informed on why prices are really this high in the first place.
Obama’s solution is that if everyone just checked the pressure in our car tires, it would reduce our dependency on foreign oil as much as drilling. Yeah, thanks for the great advice. Is this the so called “change” that he has promised everyone? Sure is amazing how the price has gone down since President Bush lifted the executive order that banned offshore drilling on July 14th. Even after seeing this, Obama and his other Liberal cohorts are still sticking to the mantra that the price might go down only a few pennies per gallon if we actually get any of the oil out of the ground.
I urge mesmerized young voters, who have that “thrill going up your leg” feeling when Obama speaks, to do a little research on the Presidency of Jimmy Carter before the November election to see how someone with no experience, but with grand ideas can affect our country.
