Dear Editor,
I live just South of the mall on Langdon Lane. I now have 7 stray cats and two kittens that I am feeding and trying to get medical help for. I have one that I believe came from a guy down the road (though I can not prove it for sure). This cat has no claws, front or back, and was hurt and all but starved to death. You could tell he had been a house cat.
We have help in getting them sprayed or neutered through the humane society, but people are to lazy and just do not care enough to take care of them properly. Some just get tired or run out of money. In those cases, especially the money issue, call for help. Stop dumping them. They are afraid and hungry.
I, however, do they think they need to be better taken care of in town. I see cats darting across the streets and wonder where their home is. Maybe there needs to be lease laws or something similar to the dog laws.
