The last straw

Dear Editor:
I saw in Wednesday's paper where there is now a fee for the baby contest, fishing derby, and more the Fourth of July. Come on Now!
The Pittsburg residents are charged a permit for garage sales and the paint windows on Halloween. Pittsburg had no Easter egg hunt this year. There probably would have been a fee for that too, had the city put it on. I have checked and all cities around - Girard, Columbus, even Springfield doesn't care to have a garage sale.
Is there a fee to watch the fireworks? Where is all the fee money going? For the food at city hall. Come on Pittsburg lets give back something to the citizens of Pittsburg.
The Morning Sun offers free classifieds under $100, KKOW offers free radio advertising on Trading Post. Our taxes are high enough here so give us a break and stop with all these fees.
