• A huge turnout for the Veterans Day Ceremony at the PSU Veterans Memorial at 1909 South Rouse. The event will be held from 10-11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

• Continued development of the 23rd Street Bike Park. The Pittsburg City Commission will discuss the possibility of adding jumps at the park during tonight’s meeting.

• A good discussion during the Pittsburg USD 250 Strategic Planning Focus Group planning session. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the district’s long-term goals with the community. It will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at the Staff Development Center on 300 E. 13th St.

• A good Women in Government Day noon Friday at the Pittsburg State University Alumni Center.

• High attendance for the first student play at Fort Scott Community College’s Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center. The school will host a production of “Our Town” Thursday through Sunday. The performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (FSCC only), Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
