• The Girard, Pittsburg and Frontenac basketball teams have good showings as they celebrate their Homecomings Friday.
• High participation at the Pittsburg Polar Plunge Saturday. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the plunge begins at noon at the Crimson Villas Apartment Complex at 1904 S Rouse. Proceeds go toward the Special Olympics.
• Pittsburg State students take advantage of Spring Career Day Thursday. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Overman Student Center, Crimson & Gold Ballroom.
• A fun date night for fathers and daughters Friday night at Memorial Auditorium.
