Same old, same old

Dear editor,
I am writing on behalf of myself and many, many others. We would like to know why in the Annual Karaoke contest at Lincoln Park on the 4th of July, for the past 4 years, the same person Wins? The very 1st year, this person was on stage with his band, when they announced him into the finals. There is a lot of people that think this is a disadvantage to all others that enter this competition. You would think people that are on a professional level shouldn’t be able to compete in an amateur event. This competition should be completely fare, whom ever places 1st, 2nd or 3rd and takes home a cash prize, shouldn’t’ be able to compete the following year to give others the same opportunity. A lot of people enjoy this karaoke event, but don’t want to participate, because everyone feels it’s becoming very set to the same winners. Instead of being a contest for amateur karaoke, its more of professionals getting sponsored year after year. Most people that enter this contest for the last 2-3 years are wondering why this hasn’t changed, as to be fare to everyone else that enters. This is why every year you get less and less people entering.
