• The Pittsburg City Commission and citizens find an amicable solution to the bird problem at Lakeside Park. The issue is scheduled to be addressed at tonight’s commission meeting.

• Open jobs for students hoping to find summer employment.

• Cherokee County officers find the person responsible for what appears to be a hoax 911 call last week that led to a day-long search for an elderly man.

• A peaceful resolution to the unrest in Iran stemming from the recent presidential election.

• A successful return for the Post 64 baseball team after competing in the Decker Sports College World Series tournament in Omaha, Neb., last week. Post 64 will host the Joplin Miners at 6 p.m. Wednesday at JayCee Ballpark.
