PITTSBURG —

Dear Editor
In defense of my mom, Cyndi Adamson, I have to tell you, that if  she knows she is right she will never back down. It really doesn’t matter at this time, how many letters to her and I are now in the file in the county attorneys office; the fact remains they never came to our house.
My mom started to research this, when she discovered there was no conviction as per a diversion agreement, and yes it was about 3 years after the fact. My gut feeling is that it was never suppose to come to light. She spent a lot of time researching this, and has the paper work in her possession, yet she still has no copies of any letters or correspondence from the county attorneys office.
My mom or my sister would have made copies, hand delivered the victim statement back to the county attorneys office and there would also be copies delivered to my lawyer.
If you take away the contact with the victim part of this case the law still states that there could not be an accident and get a diversion. The diversion agreement says there cannot be a diversion if there is an accident and charges other than traffic have been filed. So, in my opinion, the county attorneys office broke the law, but who prosecutes that?
These past few years have been very difficult for my family and myself. I still have memory lapses, occasional nightmares and the weather changing brings me pain. I do thank God that I was there in a full size truck and took the biggest part of the impact, as the car in front of me was very small and had a small child in it. Not that I cared much for being in this situation. As hard as I was hit from behind, there could have very well been a death.
