• Pittsburg State’s football team end the season on a high note as they travel to Kirksville, Mo., to take on Truman State at 1 p.m. Saturday.

• A good groundbreaking ceremony for Rural Fire Department No. 2 in Arma. The groundbreaking will take place at 11 a.m. today.

• A huge turnout for Ropin’ and Rockin’ for Pennies for the Park Saturday at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds in Fort Scott.

• A good Diwali, the Festival of Lights celebration held each year at PSU’s Weede gymnasium, which is set this year for Saturday. The traditional Indian celebration is hosted by the Indian Student Association.

• A good kickoff for this year’s tour of Cato, the first town in Crawford County. This year’s tour, starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
