The SEK Humane Society has for several years, provided straw to the community to prepare dog houses and dry bedding for the animal in preparation for winter. This year is no different. As the weather changes start—we also are preparing..
Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the west, front parking lot of Wal-Mart. Starting time will be at 9AM—supply runs out.
Straw will be available to individuals based on number of dogs owned. Individuals will need to bring their own plastic bag to transport the straw. Enough straw will be provided per dog to make suitable and comfortable, dry bedding.
Donations will be accepted. Wish list for the shelter: paper towels, toilet paper, CAT LITTER, CANNED dog or cat food, laundry detergent, dish detergent, HP #21 black ink, copy paper, blue ink pens, ice melt (for winter months).
The Society also accepts good condition doghouses to distribute to underprivileged dogs in the community. The doghouses can be taken to the shelter or dropped off, behind the Niegsch Vision Center, 1st & Broadway, in Pittsburg.
