The Pittsburg High freshman volleyball team went 3-0 on Tuesday at Pittsburg High School.
The Dragons defeated Coffeyville 25-9, 25-6 as Bethanne Elliott recorded seven aces and three kills. Mercedes Vogel added five aces, two assists and one kill and Nicole Striplin chipped-in with five more aces and two more kills.
Pittsburg also went on to defeat Columbus 25-15, 25-15. Elliott had three aces and three kills in Game 1, Megan Webb had three aces and Andrea Gaddy had two kills.
In Game 2, Elliott had two aces and four kills, Vogel had seven assists and Gaddy had two kills. Striplin went on 12-point run to help the Dragons to the win.
The Dragons completed the sweep with a 25-14, 25-14 win over Independence. Elliot had eight aces, three kills and two assists. Striplin and Katie Phalen had three kills apiece and Mattson Steele had five aces and two assists.
