WINCHESTER — The St. Mary’s-Colgan track and field team closed out Regionals on Thursday with the boys’ team scoring 77 points and placing third, while the girls’ team took 11th with 23 points.
BOYS WIN THIRD IN REGIONALS
Josh Hayes placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.51 seconds.
Kash Marietta and Connor Smith took first and second respectively in the 110 hurdles, coming in at times of 16.09 and 16.38.
The 4X100 relay team consisting of Brandon Ngo, Hayes, Billy Dickey and Smith won second, finishing at 45.45.
Hayes took second and Dickey placed third in the 400 respectively with times of 52.83 and 52.99.
Marietta won first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.41, while Smith placed fourth, finishing at 46.07.
Hayes won the 200, coming in at 23.86.
The 4X400 relay team of Alex Brown, Dickey, Marietta and Hayes placed first with a time of 3:33.62.
GIRLS PLACE 11TH IN REGIONALS
The girls’ 4X800-meter relay team consisting of Marci VanBecelaere, Cathy Farmer, Emily Paterni and Aubri Piccini placed second with a time of 10:31.79.
VanBecelaere took third in the 400 with a time of 1:02.42.
The 4X400 team consisting of Farmer, Piccini, Madison Thomas and VanBecelaere took third with a time of 4:15.77.
