BAXTER SPRINGS — The St. Mary’s-Colgan golf team took first place in the Baxter Invitational with a score of 343 on Monday. Girard’s score of 347 was good for second place and Frontenac came in fifth with a 400 score.

Colgan’s Bradley Beykirch finished in first place on the individual scoreboard, scoring a 38-37 — 75. Teammate Cal Marquardt came in fourth with a 40-42 — 82. Trevor Graham and Carter Barnes finished tied for 13th, scoring 46-47 — 93 and 49-44 — 93, respectively. Garret Bollinger wasn’t far behind with a score of 48-46—94. Jacob Dellesaga scored a 58-61 — 119.

Spencer Warner from Girard came in third with a score of 39-42 — 81. Cole Warner’s 46-39 — 85 put him at sixth. Kyler Siebert rounded out Girard players in the top ten, his 45-45 — 90 score slotting him at tenth. Ethan Warner carded a 42-49 — 91, and teammate Cooper Brown was only one shot behind Warner with a 43-49 — 92. David Reno scored a 47-47 — 94.

Frontenac’s Drew Cummins carded a 43-42 — 85, good for seventh place on the individual scoreboard. Ross Fry scored a 46-47 — 93, and teammate Riley Johnson finished at 47-55 — 102. Saige Briggs scored a 54-66 —120, Landon Cummins carded a 62-68 — 130, and Jack Brooksher finished with a score of 81-81 — 162.
