Hunter education classes offered

Anyone born after July 1, 1957 must complete a 10 hour course in Hunter education before purchasing a hunting license in Kansas.  A hunter education class is being offered in Pittsburg.  The next scheduled class in Pittsburg will be in late March. 

Class dates are,Oct.,13,15,17(Tue/ThSat). One must attend all 3 sessions. Class times are 6:00 - 9:30 PM weekdays and 8:00 AM - Noon.

All classes will meet at Grubbs Hall room 109 on Pittsburg State University Campus, Pittsburg, Kan.Pre registration is necessary. A book is provided at no cost. Sponsored by, SEK Chapter of Quail Unlimited, Pittsburg State University, and  Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.

You must be 11 years of age or older to be certified. Youth 15 years of age and younger can now hunt without certification, provided they hunt under the direct supervision of an adult 18 years of age or older. Parent(s) are encouraged to attend.  All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
