The Frontenac Junior High Raiders scored 9 touchdowns in a 62-0 victory over Northeast Thursday night in Arma.
Bryan Wade returned an interception 45 yards on the Vikings second play and recovered the ball in the end zone on the Vikes’ second possession after Kylor McCartney got the first of his two blocked kicks on the night. Matt Standlee threw to Nick Zafuta for successful two-point conversions after both touchdowns to take a 16-0 lead.
Killian Willard scored on the Raiders' first four possessions with runs of 5, 33, 3 and 40 yards. Brett Macary's two-point conversion pass to Taylor Smithson after Willard's fourth touchdown gave Frontenac a 42-0 halftime lead.
Smithson opened the second-half scoring with a 14-yard burst and Macary added the point-after.
Avery Coronado returned a Northeast punt 33 yards and Macary added the PAT to end the third quarter. Matt Standlee scored on a 26-yard keeper to close out the game's scoring.
The Girard Trojans 7th-grade team beat the Frontenac Raiders "B" team 42-0 in Girard Thursday night.

Lancers stay perfect
CHEROKEE — Riverton controlled the ball for most of the first quarter and scored in the second quarter but Southeast took control.
With seven minutes left in the first half, Josh Thompson had a 45-yard run then, two plays later, Bryce Burdette gave Thompson the ball for 22-yard touchdown pass to put Southeast up 8-6.
With 14 seconds left in the first half, Daniel Peak got a 32-yard touchdown pass from Burdette to put the Lancers up 14-6 at half.
Thompson found the end zone again in the fourth quarter with a 5-yard touchdown run to seal the game for the Lancers.
With the win, the Lancers move to 6-0 and will host Girard on Tuesday.
