The Pittsburg State University football coaching staff will host “Ladies Night at the Pitt” Friday, Aug. 13, at Brandenburg Field/Carnie Smith Stadium.
Pitt State coaches and players will provide basic instruction on the game of football to area women. The evening activities include a Football 101 session at McPherson Hall followed by dinner in Gorilla Village and on-field demonstrations at the stadium.
Registration begins at 5 p.m. at McPherson Hall, Room 130, with the Football 101 session beginning at 5:30 p.m.
“Our coaching staff looks at this as a great opportunity to get the ladies in the community involved with our program,” PSU head coach Tim Beck said.
“We will share with them some of the fundamentals of the game of football. It will be an informative three hours as well as a chance to get to know our coaches as well as our players, who will help with some of the on-field demonstrations. All proceeds will go to a great cause as well.”
Cost of the event is $20 with all proceeds benefiting Angels Among Us and Via Christi Cancer Center. The evening’s dinner will be catered by Angels Among Us.
Reservations may be made through email to landerso@pittstate.edu with payment due at the event. Donations also are accepted. Registration deadline is Aug. 8.
