Team earns top honors

Chandler Templin (No. 10) of Colleyville, Texas, is the granddaughter Dorothy Templin and the late Jack Templin of Pittsburg. Her father Steve is a graduate of Pittsburg State University. Chandler is in third season playing on the top club team for Tejas Volleyball located in North Richland Hills, Texas. Her team recently competed in the Colorado Crossroads Junior National Qualifier bringing home first place for their age division. In late June they will compete in the 2010 USA Girls Junior National Championship which will be held in Reno, Nev. The Reno Sparks Convention Center will host play in seven age divisions which include 12's through 18's. Currently, in the North Texas Region, her team is ranked 3rd in the top 10 of 121 teams. In August, Chandler will be a student at Colleyville Heritage High School and has plans to try out for the high school volleyball and basketball teams.
