The Pittsburg State baseball team has picked up a West Coast prospect for the 2010 season.
Jeremy Graves, a native of Corvallis, Ore., comes to Pitt State after two seasons at Southwestern Oregon Community College, where he played for former Pitt State Hall of Famer Daniel Esposito. Graves (5-11, 170) batted .276 with seven doubles, two home runs and 19 RBIs for the Lakers, committing just six errors on the season in 32 games at shortstop.
"Jeremy is a top addition to next season's team," Bever said.  "He will solidify our shortstop position with his defense in addition to being an outstanding hitter.  Playing for Daniel Esposito, former Pitt State All-American, has also given him insight into what it means to be a Gorilla."
Graves is the fourth player to sign with the Gorillas for the 2010 season.
