Now that the Fort Scott Community College football and volleyball teams have some mileage under their belts, they still realize that home is much better.

Starting today, the Greyhound football and volleyball teams will spend the weekend at home, as the volleyball squad will play host to Highland Community College at 6 p.m. tonight at Arnold Arena.

On the football side, Fort Scott returns to Frary Field for their home opener against nationally-ranked Butler County at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Greyhounds return after a season-opening loss to NJCAA defending national champions, Blinn (Texas) College last Saturday in Texas.

Thursday will mark the first broadcast of The Greyhound Football Show with head coach Jeff Sims live at 6 p.m. at Holmtown Pub.

Prior to the game on Saturday, ESPN 99.1 FM will host a tailgate beginning at 10:30 a.m. across from Frary Field at Fort Scott High School.
