Northeast girls split with Uniontown

Northeast Junior High split a pair of girls basketball games with Uniontown Monday night.

In 7th grade action, Northeast topped Uniontown 20-15. Northeast was lead by three scorers, Amber DeMaranville, Kaylee Bogina, and Abby Pipkin. Each scored six points for the Vikings.

Uniontown was lead by S. Townsend, who scored six.

However, Uniontown turned the tables in the 8th grade game, beating Northeast 32-23.

D. Robinson and E. Shinn each scored 10 points for Uniontown. Kaelynn Morris scored eight points, Morgan Maransany scored seven points, and Tess Powell added six points in the losing effort.

Northeast will play at home against Girard on Thursday at 7 p.m.
