Frontenac falls at Neodesha

Neodesha beat Frontenac, 27-0, in a non-conference game Friday night.

Frontenac gained 80 total yards, 73 on the ground. Sophomore signal caller Devon Keith rushed for 33 yards on 11 carries, junior running back Luke Dainty carried the ball 11 times for 22 yards, and junior running back Hunter Mulherin gained 17 yards on three rushes. The Raiders committed eight penalties and lost 70 yards.

Neodesha scored 27 consecutive points after a scoreless first quarter. Anthony Thayer scored twice on 25- and 45-yard touchdown runs. Jake Scott threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Lopez and scored the final points of the game on a 12-yard touchdown run.

Frontenac (0-1) is scheduled to play St. Mary's Colgan next Thursday and Neodesha plays Burlington at home next week in Tri-Valley Conference action.
