Capping her senior season where her team qualified for their fourth Class 4A state volleyball tournament in five years was tough to do.

But senior Carly Twarog managed to do that as she earned the lone unanimous selection to the All-Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee League volleyball first team.

Twarog was joined on the first team by Frontenac senior Emily Barto, who helped lead the Raiders to their second consecutive Class 3A state tournament, St. Mary’s Colgan senior hitter Katie Hayes, Baxter Springs’ Ali Cure and Riverton’s Ambur Simmons.

League champion Girard placed a pair on the second team in outside hitter Morgan Boore and setter Carly Lallemand.

Northeast had libero Britney Clark earn second-team honors along with Riverton hitter Cheslyn Mitchell, Galena’s Kelsey New and Baxter’s Skyleigh Bingham.

Northeast hitter Khristen Dwyer was named to the league’s honorable mention team along with Southeast’s Chaney Fox and Girard libero Kenzie Dunlap.

Colgan’s Annie Dellasega was also named to the honorable mention team with Frontenac setter Lindsey Gorham and Riverton’s Dalaynee Ludwig.
