Amanda "Mandy" Lillian Saling, 51, of Pittsburg, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO.
She was born August 8, 1972, in Girard, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Jacqueline "Jackie" Louise (White) Bass. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and attended Pittsburg State University.
On June 17, 1995, she was united in marriage to Casey Saling at Trinity Baptist Church. He survives at the home.
Due to her illness, she retired and stayed at home.
She attended Trinity Baptist Church, but her love of life was spending time with her grandkids.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, William Saling (Abbigale) of Independence, KS; two daughters, Katelee Saling (Joseph Smith) of Pittsburg, KS and Jennifer Saling (Christophe Hill) of Pittsburg, KS; a step-daughter, Amber Saling of Stockton, MO; two brothers, Steven Bass (Penny) of Bentonville, AR and Charles Bass II of Radley, KS; two sisters, Rebecca Bass of Pittsburg and Charolette Smith of Pittsburg; a nephew, Isaiah Smith of Pittsburg; and fourteen grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Brenner Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 12 at Brenner Mortuary with Rev. Jim Fryer officiating. Private burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help offset funeral expenses.
