Beverly Ann (Humble) O'Brien, 71, of Hepler, died at 12:38 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023, in the Girard Medical Center.
Beverly was born April 19, 1951, in Girard, Kansas, a daughter of Eugene Humble, Sr. and Flossie Ulery. She grew up in rural Girard and graduated in 1969 from Cherokee High School in Cherokee, Kansas.
Beverly married Bernard R. O'Brien on November 8, 1998, in Girard. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2021.
She worked as a clerk in the Motor Vehicle Department of Crawford County for 34 years, retiring in June of 2013. She co-owned and operated O'Brien Ranch Enterprise in Hepler, Kansas.
Beverly was a Baptist, and she enjoyed her family and crafting.
Her daughters are Crysti Downes, and her husband, Tom, of Ozark, Missouri, Melissa Hayden, and her husband, Adam, of Pittsburg and Patricia Schoenhofer, and her husband, Gary, of Girard; her grandchildren Colby Winterbower and his wife, Ryann, Carly Winterbower, Cara White, and her husband, Michael, Trenton Smith, Cooper Hayden, Cole Hayden, and Cale Hayden, Richard Downes, Nathan Downes; her sister, Rose Mary Bliss, and her husband, Glenn, of Pittsburg; her brother, Eugene Humble, Jr., and his wife, Deborah, of Pittsburg.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Humble; her sisters, Linda Grant and Deborah Crain and family.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Girard, with Pastor Rick Prideaux officiating. Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday.
