PITTSBURG, Kan. — A Pittsburg man was sentenced Wednesday to the Kansas Department of Corrections for 4.5 years for involuntary manslaughter and three counts of interference with a law enforcement officer.
According to court documents, Timothy Fontenot, 62, pleaded guilty to the charges Dec. 20,2024. The victim was Timothy Fontenot’s wife. He was initially arrested and charged for one count of 2nd degree murder, four counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and one count of felony interference with law enforcement. Charges were amended on Dec. 20, 2024.
