Margaret Jean Wilson Morrison, 88, of Girard, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 2023 at the Medicalodge of Frontenac.
Margaret was born May 3, 1934 in Barton County, Missouri a daughter of Herbert and Icy (Large) Schneider.
She grew up in the Pittsburg and Missouri areas and attended schools in Mindenmines, Missouri.
Margaret was united in marriage to Ralph Robert Wilson on Jan. 21, 1951 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They made their home in Crawford County and he preceded her in death on April 8, 1972. On Aug. 2, 1986, Margaret was united in marriage to Clarence W. “Bill” Morrison and they made their home in Girard before he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1994.
Margaret was a homemaker for her loving family and she enjoyed farming, livestock, gardening and cats.
Margaret is survived by one son, Everett Wilson of Wichita, Kansas; three daughters, Nancy Kautz, and her husband, Richard, of Grove, Oklahoma, Patty Ozebek of Calera, Oklahoma, Sharon Shepherd, and her husband, Jim, of Eldon, Missouri: one brother, Melvin Schneider of Luray, Virginia: 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Ralph Wilson, on Jan. 1, 2018; one daughter, Janice Keopke Wilson, on Jan. 17, 2017; two brothers, Leonard Schneider, Ronnie Schneider; one sister, Bonnie Shipman; one granddaughter, Terrie Lee Wilson.
Graveside Services for Margaret Jean Wilson Morrison will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mapleton Cemetery with her son-in-law, Pastor Jim Shepherd, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
