Roland Eugene Frost Sr, 67, of Girard, KS, passed away on Oct. 28th, 2024, in Pittsburg, KS.

Gene was born on June 11, 1957, to Jerry and Dortha Louise (McClelland) Hill. He attended Girard public schools, graduating in 1976. Gene entered into the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1981. He married Jan M. Harvey, they later divorced.

Gene worked for Empire Gas in Arma, Pittsburg Reclaim, and Advantage Metals in Fort Scott, KS.

He is survived by his children, Laura Tucker (Seth) of Ft. Scott, KS, Roland E. Frost Jr. (Sheena) of Girard, KS, Amanda A Harvey of West Mineral, KS, and Marty E Harvey of Arma, KS; a brother, John Frost of England, UK; two sisters, Janice Scholes (Bob) of Frontenac, KS, and Martha Frost of Rogers, AR; a step brother, Terry Ward of Parsons, KS; and a half brother, David Frost (Dana) of Parsons, KS; two half sisters, Alice Abbe of Fredonia, KS, and Lucy Ann Thompson; a niece, who was more like a daughter, Mary Meiers Vilmer of Pittsburg, KS; a nephew, who was more like a son, Dwayne Hensley; and a great nephew, who was more like a grandson, Logan Hensley; 14 grandchildren; Michela Westfall, Meredith Robinson, Robby Robinson, Willy Robinson, Gregg Tucker, Gabe Tucker, Garren Tucker, Lane Frost, Kensley Frost, Hunter Frost, Ruby Frost, Zachary Lake, Peter Kichler, Jacob Kichler and 15 great grandchildren.He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William W. Frost, Walter Glen Frost, two sisters, Ruth Foster and Debora Frost Selsor, his great nephew, Joseph Vilmer, Bradley Floyd and little Travis Pryor.

A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Brenner Mortuary with Pastor Murray Balk officiating. Burial will follow at the Girard City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
