The main point of his speech to the students was to do their best in school and life in general. His message was to be positive, work hard, and that education is a positive way to a positive future. He strongly encourages believing in yourself, believing in others, and team work. He gets the crowd involved during the speech with activities and exercises. These activities often involve teamwork. Mr. Johnson taught memory aids through games and he showed that everyone has potential and can make a difference in the community and world.
Allan Johnson also came to the teacher in service in Chetopa for a few days in August to give motivational speeches to all of the Chetopa-St. Paul teachers.
