The students at St. Paul Schools have succeeded once again on receiving high scores on their state assessments. The third, fifth, and seventh graders scored the Standard of Excellence in reading and math. Sixth and eighth grades both received the Standard of Excellence rating in reading, and seventh grade in reading and math. The middle school and elementary both scored Standards of Excellence building-wide in reading and math!

Mr. Warren McGowan, principal at St. Paul Schools, said, “St. Paul is very consistent with their testing. Some grades are average, while others excel above the normal standards!”

These test scores are rewarded by incentive days set by the guidance counselor, Mrs. Tuck.
Through a series of good grades, behavior, and attendance, the student is awarded with either a full or half day excused from school, and a free pass to the Parsons Movie Theater.

Combined with teachers exposing the students to all categories on the test and rewards such as the incentive days and movie tickets, it’s no surprise that the students take assessments so seriously and score so highly!
