Revival services
“Restoring the Hope” will be the theme of revival services beginning at 7 p.m. at the Pittsburg Church of God, 13th and Tucker. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Jackie Poe, Martinsville, Va.
There will be a training session for leaders at 2 p.m. Saturday, with services at 7  p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
A nursery/toddler room will be available for children 5 and younger, and transportation will also be available. Anyone needing additional information may contact Pastor Trent Belford at 231-7298 or 235-3964.

Legion bingo
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host bingo night, open to the public, at 6:30 p.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
Canteen will open at 5:30 p.m. and feature burgers, sandwiches and chicken strips.

Joplin dance
JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin Shrine Club will sponsor a dance, open to the public, from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1040 S. Joplin Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m. Snacks will be available. Music will be provided by the Bob Russell Band.
Admission will be $4 per person. Anyone needing additional information may call 417-782-6116.

Rock ‘N’ Read
The Pittsburg Public Library’s summer reading program for adults, will end with a soda shoppe on Friday, starting at 2 p.m. Participants will enjoy ice cream sodas in their specially inscribed soda glasses while listening to classic 1950s music provided by Susan Laushman on piano. The drawing for the grand prize will take place around 2:15 p.m.
