  • Dennis Frank Malle, 63, local businessman, co-owner of Malle Service and Tire, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at his home.

    Dennis Frank Malle, 63, local businessman, co-owner of Malle Service and Tire, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at his home.

    He was born October 10, 1949 at Pittsburg, the son of Frank A. and Marguerite (Moran) Malle. He attended local schools and graduated from College High School in 1967.  In 1971, he graduated from Pittsburg State University’s Automotive Technology Program.

    Following college, he worked for Chrysler Motor Company as a troubleshooter from 1971 to 1973. In 1973, he came home and began his career at Malle Service and Tire.

    On August 10, 1985, he was united in marriage to Judith A. Hickman at the Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg. She survives at the family home.

    Membership was held in the Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg, Sons of the American Revolution and NRA. Dennis was a loyal Pittsburg State University Athletic Fan and Supporter.

    In addition to his wife, Judy, he is survived by a son, Kevin Malle and his wife, Tawyna of Aurora, CO; a daughter, Kristyn Satterfield and her husband, Brent of Gilbert, AZ; step-daughter, Lisa Navarro of Branson, MO; his mother, Marguerite Malle of Pittsburg; a brother, Edward J. Malle and his wife, Connie of Pittsburg; and eight grandchildren, Zane, Abbygail, Rainee, Rylee, Jordan, Hailee, Sydney, and Skylar, and several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Arthur L. Malle.

    Memorial services will be held at 7:00p.m. Thursday (June 20) at the Presbyterian Church with Pastor Warren Gene Campbell officiating. Eulogies will be given by his brother, Ed Malle, friends, Dennis Crain, Scott Crain and Nick Castagno.  The family will receive friends following the services in the parlor until 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Presbyterian Church or PSU Athletic Fund.  These may be left at or mailed to Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th Street, Pittsburg, KS  66762.   Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
