Presbyterian Church will host the Financial Peace University 13-week course on personal finance.

The class will be held from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. every Wednesday from Aug. 24 through Nov. 15 at the Presbyterian Church. A meal will be served at 5:45 p.m. for those who wish to arrive early. Free child care will be available for children 3 and younger and those aged 4 through 12.

Dave Ramsey will teach Financial Peace University lessons via DVD presentations. Following will be a class and small group discussion led by Rev. K.O. Noonoo.

Topics will include relating about money, debt and debt-free living, mortgages and real estate, paying for college, developing a spending plan and preparing for emergencies.

Cost to attend is $100 per household. Interested persons may register by calling 231-2920, by e-mail at pastorko@sbcglobal.net or at the first session at 6:30 p.m.

Frontenac Rotary
Frontenac Rotary Club will meet at noon at the Bosco Center, located in the basement of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frontenac. A meatloaf dinner will be served.

Rotarian of the day will be Karen Cuendet. Program will be presented by Dan Lingor, who will discuss, display and perform on his Native American flutes. Greeter will be Teresa Shouse, secretary. Amanda Sukraw will serve as sergeant at arms.

Chicopee card games
Card games will be played from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday except holidays at the Chicopee Community Center, formerly St. Barbara’s Catholic Church.

There will be tables for bridge, pitch and skip bo. Any card game is welcome.
