Pittsburg police are looking to the local community for information regarding a reported armed robbery that allegedly took place Friday morning.

Pittsburg police are looking to the local community for information regarding a reported armed robbery that allegedly took place Friday morning.
At around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, police responded to a strong armed robbery at the corner of Seventh and Grand in Pittsburg. According to police, a male subject reported he was robbed of an undetermined amount of money by two black males in the alley just east of Seventh and Grand. The suspects reportedly approached the victim and asked him for directions to another location. One suspect allegedly grabbed the victim and threw him to the ground. The suspects then took the victim's money from his person and ran north down the alley.
There were not weapons that were brandished or used, according to police, and the victim was not injured during the incident.
According to police, both suspects were wearing t-shirts with no other clothing description that is available. Both suspects had black, shoulder-length hair with dreadlocks and one was wearing a red head band. Both fled north in the alley on foot.
Police are asking for anyone with information with this robbery to contact the PPD at 235-0400 or 231-1700.
