    Southeast Kansas Retired School Personnel will meet for a social time at 9:15 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene.
    President Diana Kerle will call the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. Bob Casino will present the flag ceremony and Charles Kellogg, accompanied by Phil Carter, will direct the singing. Inspirational moment will be given by Bob Casino.
    Program planner Collen Gray will introduce Dr. Brian Biermann, Pittsburg USD 250 assistant superintendent of schools. He will speak on “Trends in Education Today.”
    Hosts will be Jo Helen Boyer, chairman, Jewell Turner, Phyllis Roberds, Collen and Bill Gray. Greeter will be Mary Heide.
    Progressive Study Club
    Progressive Study Club will meet at 11:45 a.m. at Via Christi Village. Jeanne McLaughlin will present the program on quilts.
    Greeters for the day will be Joan Scifers and Barbara Pistole.
    Senior Citizens Club
    Pittsburg Senior Citizens Club will meet at 1 p.m. for a business session and bingo. October birthdays will be celebrated with cake and ice cream.

    Caregiver group
    A free caregiver support group will meet from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin.
    Caregivers may come and spend time with others who are going through similar situations as themselves. Refreshments will be served. Anyone needing additional information may call Terri Chapman, 417-483-2638.
