Sister Marie Celine Eichhorn died on Wed. Oct. 20, 2010. Beloved daughter of the late Frederick and Barbara Eichhorn, sister of the late Otto, Fred, Joseph, George and William Eichhorn, Elizabeth Brazil and Josephine Blancho. Several loving nieces and nephews. A member of the Sisters of St. Francis, she served in the Dioceses of Pittsburgh, Altoona-Johnstown and San Juan, Puerto Rico for over 30 years as an elementary school teacher, principal and catechist. In 1967, Sister Marie Celine pioneered the Community’s Mission Project in Berquisimento, Venezuela where she served for 13 years. The  past 15 years, Sister has been active in the Prayer Ministry of the congregation. Sister Marie Celine will be remembered fondly for her gentleness in life, her dedication to missionary activities and her fidelity to the Franciscan way of life.
