Pittsburg Police officers arrested three people for a variety of charges Tuesday with thanks to the weather.
Tuesday morning, an officer responded to the 1500 block of N. Rouse because the resident had reported a break-in overnight. Minutes later, a second officer was sent to the area when a man was seen running from a garage in the 1000 block of E. 13th St.
The second officer found footprints and followed them to 1014 E. 10th St. Officers were granted permission to search the house, where they found Dustin Clay, 19. Clay had a cell phone later identified belonging to the Rouse address.
Clay fled on foot but was later arrested at 1019 E. Ninth St. and taken to Crawford County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary, felony obstruction, theft, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He is being held on a $59,000 bond.
While searching for Clay at 1019 E. Ninth St., officers saw marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia in plain sight. Later, the officers returned with a drug warrant and arrested Joey Stevens Sigmon, 22, and Matthew Jacob Wegner, 22. The two are each charged with felony cultivation of marijuana, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two are being held on $12,500 bond.
