But while there weren't any repeats locally of the winter storm that left 1.5 inches of ice on the ground, Mother Nature did wreak havoc in other ways.

A large tornado hit Picher, killing at least six and leaving about 20 blocks of structure damage in the town. The storms also ravaged parts of southwest Missouri, killing at least five.

A thunderstorm in June damaged parts of history, as winds knocked down a tree at 802 W. Euclid that had stood for 150 to 175 years.

Parts of Frontenac lost power because of the storm.
