Pittsburg and Senior Services menus

Pittsburg
Pittsburg Community Schools USD 250  will provide the Summer Food Service  Program for Children, a federally funded program operated nationally by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Child and Nutrition and Wellness Department of the Kansas State Department of Education.
Breakfast and lunch meals will be provided free for children ages 1-18. Adults may eat at a cost of $2.25 for breakfast and $3.25 for lunch.
Meals will be served from June 1-July 31 at Westside Elementary School and Pittsburg Community Middle School, as well as July 6-31 at Meadowlark Elementary School.
Hours will be as follows: Westside, breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to noon; PCMS, breakfast from 7:30 to  8:309 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Meadowlark, breakfast from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
All meals are served with milk. Breakfast menus for the week of June 29 at  Westside and PCMS will be as follows:
MONDAY
Cereal, juice.
TUESDAY
Biscuit and gravy, juice.
WEDNESDAY
Peanut butter and jelly, juice.
THURSDAY
Pancake on a stick, juice.
FRIDAY
Breakfast burrito, juice.
Lunch menus will be as follows:
MONDAY
Hot dog, pork and beans, mixed vegetables, sliced pears.
TUESDAY
Ham and cheese sandwich, fresh veggies with dip, sliced peaches, Elf Grahams.
WEDNESDAY
Pizza choice, tossed salad,  corn, mixed fruit.
THURSDAY
Chicken sandwich, French fries, peas, fresh fruit.
FRIDAY
Peanut butter and jelly, cheese stick, Sun Chips, veggie sticks with Ranch dressing, rosy applesauce.

Senior Services
Senior Services Nutrition Center, 3003 N. Joplin, serves lunchtime meals which are open to any person 60 or older.
Participants are asked to make reservations for lunch one day in advance. A donation of $3 per meal is suggested.
All meals are served with milk. The menus for the week of June 29 are as follows:
MONDAY
Sliced turkey pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, cabbage and carrots, fruited gelatin, bread and margarine.
TUESDAY
Dinner frank with bun, cowboy baked beans, broccoli, sliced apples.
WEDNESDAY
Tuna salad, fruity spinach salad with dressing, macaroni salad with peas, crackers, peach cup.
THURSDAY
Barbecued ribette with sauce, au gratin potatoes, mixed vegetables, lime gelatin with pineapple, bread and margarine.
FRIDAY
No meal served because of holiday.
