  • This year two students from St. Paul High School attended the State Forensics Festival. Sophomore, Aesha Foley and senior, Tryce Nelson, are the two who are eligible to go. They qualified at the regional meet in Neodesha on April 20th, where they both received a I rating.
The State Festival is held in Wichita at Wichita East High School. There will be several hundred students from the state competing at the festival.
Mrs. Julie Spieth heads the forensics program in St. Paul. Both students qualified in Prose, which is like storytelling. We asked both of them how they were going to prepare for the performance and both of them responded with, “Go over my piece multiple times up until the meet.”  To find their piece they both found something that interested them individually.
The festival was held on Saturday, May 4th.
