    Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host the Kansas American Legion Third District joint memorial service at 9 a.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.

    Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host the Kansas American Legion Third District joint memorial service at 9 a.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
    Habitat groundbreaking
    Habitat for Humanity will  have a groundbreaking at 2 p.m. at 302 E. 25th. The house will be the home of Courtney Imhof and her children.
    Country music show
    FORT SCOTT — Fort Scott Country Music Show will be held at 2 p.m. at Fort Scott Memorial Hall. Guest performer will be Bill White,
    Andy Oberg will be on keyboard through April 21. A keyboard player and vocalist, he has been performing a show in Silver Dollar City for 21 years.
    The Swingin’ West Band will play, featuring Dewayne Bowman, guitar and vocalist; Ginelle Esry, vocalist; Scotty Henderson, steel guitar and vocalist; Andy Oberg, keyboard and vocalist; Ronnie Blecher, drummer; Kelly Jones, fiddle; Randy Vanderpool, bass guitar and vocalist; and Jason Richison, sound system, guitar and vocalist.
    Admission is $12 at the door. Persons 15 and younger are admitted free.
    Elks bingo
    Pittsburg Elks Lodge No. 412, 2312 W. Fourth, will have bingo night. Mini games will start at 4 p.m., followed by regular games at 4:30 p.m.
    Crawford County Democrats
    The Crawford County Democrats will meet at 4 p.m. at Pittsburg Pizza Hut, Quincy and Broadway. 
    Anyone interested in the Democratic Party is welcome to attend.  Several items will be discussed including the picnic planned for April 28.  Anyone needing additional information may call Lynn Grant 620-308-5518.
