The Frontenac girls took first and the Northeast boys finished second at the Southeast Invitational track meet on Friday.
Lauren Hipfl and Kinsella Brunetti each won a pair of golds for the Frontenac girls — Hipfl in the circle and Brunetti on the track.
Hipfl won the discus with a mark of 93 feet, 5 inches and the shot put with a mark of 31-0.
Brunetti won the 100 in 13.52 seconds and the 200 in 28.83. She also finished second in the triple jump at 28-9 1/4.
Kayla Jones won a pair of golds for Southeast in the high jump (5-0) and the 300 hurdles (53.41) to help the Lancers finish tied for second with Cherryvale at 102 points, 95 behind Frontenac.
Virginia Smith finished second in the 100 high hurdles in 19.10.
Northeast sophomore Kaylee Bogina won the 1,600 in 5:46.93 and the 3,200 in 12:13, easily ahead of the competition. Stephanie Enloe won the 400 in 1:09.13 and finished second in the 100 in 13.88.
On the boys side, J.T. Richardson won a pair of golds for Northeast — in the long jump (18-10 1/2) and the triple jump (39-7). Richardson also finished second in the 100 in 12.05. Michael Toms won the 3,200 in 11:17. Killian Willard finished second behind Richardson in the long jump at 18-7. Noah Popejoy placed second at 42-1 1/2 in the shot put.
Ryan Rakestraw of Southeast won the 300 hurdles in 42.86 and finished second in both the high jump at 6-2 and the triple jump at 38-8 1/2. Steven Porter finished second in the 1,600 (5:19.05) and the 3,200 (11:31).

PARSONS — The Girard girls finished third and the Girard boys fourth at the Parsons Invitational on Friday.
On the girls side, Schyler Nepote, Hayden Bauer and Christian Provence finished 3-4-5 in the 800 — Nepote 2:36.49, Bauer 2:37.40 and Provence 2:37.80, earning Girard 15 of its 76 overall points. Moira Myers of Colgan won the 800 in 2:34.46, at least two seconds ahead of the field.
Kennedy Walker of Girard finished second in the long jump at 31-6 and Audrey Bauer placed third in the discus in 94-5.
On the boys side, Girard freshman Drew Davied won the high jump with a mark of 6-4. He’s 2-for-2 in his young high school track career.
Taylor Lewis finished third in the 100 in 11.59, trailing Coffeyville speedsters Cory Turner (11.37) and defending state champion James Newton (10.93).
Zach Franklin placed second in the javelin with a mark of 150-8, besting his previous mark of 130-0.
The Girard 4x400 relay of Trenton Stolte, Lewis, Laike Damman and Jordan Bradshaw finished second in 3:41.68.

Pittsburg Parks and Recreation is taking registrations for the Hershey Track and Field Meet on Sunday, Apr. 21 at Prentice Gudgen Track/Carnie Smith Stadium. Boys and girls ages 9-14 (as of Dec. 31, 2013) can register by completing the official entry form at www.pittks.org or by contacting the Parks and Rec at 620-231-8310 to request an entry form. Entries must be received by 5 p.m., Apr. 17 along with a copy of a birth certificate. NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION.
