Joseph Martin Glisar, age 46, resident of Pittsburg, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was born September 16, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Paul A. Glisar and Helen I. Welch Glisar. Joe married Rhonda Davied on December 21, 1982. They were later divorced. He had served with the United States Marine Corps from 1981 to 1983. Joe had been employed as a C & C Machinist.
Survivors include three daughters, Amy L. Davied, Jamie L. Glisar and Roxie L. Cope, all of Wichita; two brothers, George Glisar and Robert Glisar, both of Pittsburg, Kansas; two sisters, Paula Mapes, Wichita, Kansas and Brenda Glisar-Stevens, Pittsburg, Kansas. Also surviving are five grandchildren with one more on the way and his significant other, Carla Watson of Pittsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jill Glisar.
Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct funeral services at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, at the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott. Burial will follow in the U. S. National Cemetery.
