    Treble Clef Club
    Treble Clef Club will meet at 1 p.m. at the home of Linda and Gene Vollen, 311 S. Olive.
    A program of piano music will be presented by Alheli Aranda Britez, recipient of the Treble Clef Club Pittsburg State University Music Scholarship. She will play Beethoven’s “Sonata Opus 2, Number 2 for Piano” and “Sonata Opus 19, No. 2 in G# Minor” by Alexander Scriabine.
    A tribute to National Music Week will be given by Donna Cox, and Judy Hix will deliver a tribute to pasty presidents.
    Club officers for 2013-2014 will be installed by Mrs. Vollen, Kansas Federation of Music Clubs state president. New officers are: Lois Amershek, president; Phillis Scorse and Janis Saket, co-vice presidents; Patty Nicholas, recording secretary; Mary Atkins, corresponding secretary; and Norma McCaslin, treasurer.
    Song of the month, “Arkansas Traveler,” will be presented by Norma McCaslin. Hostess will be Mrs. Vollen, with Gail Burch and Elizabeth Brill assisting as co-hostesses. Program chairman is Lois Amershek.
    Treble Clef Club is a member of the Kansas and National Federation of Music Clubs.
    USD 248 Board
    GIRARD — Girard USD 248 Board of Education will have a regular board meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Board of Education office.
    Zumba class
    Jessica Wakeman will offer a zumba class from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center.
    There is a $3 fee to attend the class. Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.
    Masonic Lodge
    Pittsburg Masonic Lodge will have a monthly stated meeting at 7 p.m. in the Masonic Center, 3105 N. Joplin.
    Dinner will be served for members and guests at 6 p.m.
    Arma Auxiliary
    ARMA — Arma American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 182 will have a monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. in the Arma American Legion Hall.
    Officers for 2014 will be installed. They are as follows: Steffie Peternell, president; Linda Vail, first vice president; Ilene Everitt, second vice president; Dolores Bierbrodt, chaplain; Brenda Prince, secretary; and Dianne Reiken, treasurer.
    Hostesses will be Nadine Conley and Linda Vail.
    Guitar Club
    First Pitt Guitar Club will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays at the First Christian Church.
    All guitar players may attend. Groups will be available for beginners, for chording, soloing and other topics, which will change each week. Those attending should bring their guitars.

    Girard TOPS
    GIRARD — TOPS Group #0975, Girard, meets Mondays at the Girard Presbyterian Church. Weigh-in begins at 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., with the meeting following.

    Frontenac card games
    Card games will be played from 1 to 4 p.m. every Monday except holidays at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Building. Primary game is pinochle.

    TOPS No. 599 (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at College Heights United Methodist Church.
    Private weigh-ins are from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are designed to provide motivation and support to help members reach their weight loss goals.
