Dear editor:
With difficult issues facing us in all areas of government, it is necessary for us to choose responsible and qualified people to represent our interest. Please take a close look at the person you intend to vote for. Ask yourself if that person is truly qualified to handle the office that they are seeking. “Good Ole Boys” and “Gladhanders” can be popular among us, but do they really have the tools to handle the job? Pay attention to the answers given by the candidates when they are questioned at public forums, etc. If the answers are vague and somewhat empty, that is the first clue that the candidate, at the very least, is uninformed and/or unprepared or just clearly does not understand what the job is or what it involves. With the November elections coming up, please evaluate the candidates before you cast your vote on Tuesday, November 2. Remember, we will all have to live with our choices.
