Effective February 1, 2011, Kansas began offering assistance to problem gamblers and family members of concerned friends of individuals who are struggling with problem gambling. This assistance is funded by the Kansas Problem Gambling and Addictions Grant Fund made available by state casino revenues.

This assistance is funded by the Kansas Problem Gambling and Addictions Grant Fund made available by state casino revenues.


Elm Acres Recovery Services located at 1102 S. Rouse is one of the agencies statewide providing these problem gambling services. Across the state, there are 66 certified gambling counselors. Elm Acres Youth & Family Services, a Program of DCCCA, Inc. is proud to employ one of those counselors.    


For most, gambling is fun and can be an enjoyable form of entertainment.
