Christopher Stinebaugh, the 21-year-old Arma man injured in Tuesday's one-vehicle accident, is in fair condition, according to a spokesperson for Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

The accident occurred shortly before midnight on Tuesday. Stinebaugh was driving a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse eastbound on 570th Avenue "at a high rate of speed," according to an accident report from the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. Stinebaugh lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of 570th Avenue and 250th Street before striking a tree.
Nicklas Thompson, 21 of Arcadia, was a passenger in the vehicle. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.
