Jane Ann Spigarelli, 45, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, at her home in Los Angeles, California.
Jane was born March 2, 1966 in Denver, Colorado, to Nora Davis Spigarelli and Jim Spigarelli. She was married to Christopher Monte in New Orleans in October, 2004.
In December 2005, they were blessed with the birth of their son James Quentin Monte.
Jane graduated from Raytown High School, Raytown, Missouri in 1984. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, and a Master of Performing Arts from the University of California, Irvine. She was an accomplished actress, teacher and textbook author.
Jane grew up in Raytown, and moved to Los Angeles in 1991.
Jane lived life with such energy, passion and humor that she inspired everyone who knew her. She fought fiercely for every minute of life during her three-year battle with cancer, cherishing the time she was able to spend with Jimmy.
She is survived by husband, Chris Monte; son, Jimmy; parents, Nora Davis Spigarelli, Raytown, Missouri, and Jim and Lisa Spigarelli, Leawood, Kansas; brother, Mark (Missy Stellmon) Spigarelli, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; four step sisters and a step brother; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her dearest friend, Chris Mahdesian.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Church of the Hills, at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles. Donations may be made to WeSpark.org., a cancer patient support center.
