Arlene Faye Muniz, age 68 of Lake Brownwood, Texas, passed away Monday July 28, 2008 in Abilene, Texas.
Memorial services will be held Thursday July 31st at 2:00 P.M. at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Her body will be cremated under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Arlene was born in Girard Kansas on April 23, 1940 the daughter of the late Clarence and Effie Henderson Stevens. She married William Muniz on August 19, 1995 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls where she sang in the church choir, and served as a Eucharistic Minister, She also attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood where she served as Eucharistic Minister and was in the Catholic Daughters. She had worked for the Department of Defense as a supervisor and Manager at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. She had been a resident of Lake Brownwood Oak Point Development since May 2006. Arlene was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved flower gardening and enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Survivors Include Husband: William Muniz of Lake Brownwood Texas, Two Sons: Jeff Wardrip and wife Darlene of Gilbert Arizona, William R. Muniz of Indian Rock Beach, Florida, Two Daughters: Sherrie Bristo and husband Tra of Lubbock, Texas, Darlene Muniz of Burlington, Vermont, Two Sisters: Shirley Burks and husband Dexter of Farlington, Kansas, Darlene Dziadula and husband Gary of Girard, Kansas, Ten Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Parents: Clarence Toledo Stevens, and Effie Iola Henderson Stevens, One Sister: Eva Mae Stevens.
