  • The SEK-CAP Pittsburg Area Community Transportation schedule will change on Monday.
The two PACT shuttles travel in opposite directions around a designated route in Pittsburg Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.  The schedule change will include new stops at the Crimson Villa and Sycamore Village apartments, the Judicial Center, and Highland Meadows/ Lindburg Pharmacy. The industrial park section of the fixed route is eliminated.  There are now 23 pick-up points and both shuttles stop twelve times at each location during their fourteen hour schedule.
Another SEK-CAP shuttle travels an abbreviated route between Pittsburg State University and the downtown business district between the hours of 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. every day except Tuesday and Sunday.  The cost to ride the shuttles is 50 cents.
SEK-CAP also operates a General Public Para Transit bus in Pittsburg and Frontenac every weekday between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  This bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift and provides door to door service. The cost is $1 per ride. Riders should make reservations with the driver 24 hours in advance by calling 235-9082.  Anyone may ride the General Public Transportation buses.
